Hi everyone!

I am not sure if anyone would know this answer to this but I am wondering what the chances of having twins for me would be, simply because every generation on my mothers side has had multiple sets of twins. My older brother is a twin, a few sets of my cousins are twins, my grandfather is a twin, my grandmothers siblings are twins, etc. I know fraternal twins can be genetic and run in the family and the mothers genetics are the only contributing factors as to whether or not you may have twins.

My SO and I found out a few days ago that I am almost 6 weeks pregnant and we already have an 8.5 month old boy. As soon as I told him that I was pregnant he has been stuck on the feeling/idea/hunch that it's twins and my doctor won't see me until I'm 13 weeks along! Nor will I have my first ultrasound until around 18-22 weeks! 😢 So does anyone know the odds and/or percentages of having twins if it runs in your genetics?
