Bullseye rash with mosquito bite?

Question

I am 100% sure this is a mosquito bite and not a tick bite. I literally saw the mosquito bite her and killed it. It was a large red bump (my husband has bad mosquito bite reactions) for about 2 days until I put calamine lotion on it today and now it seems to have turned into a bullseye. Does anyone else’s LO’s get reactions like these?

I had that on my 4yr old son this past summer. I did not see a mosquito bite him so I panicked and took him right into his dr. They said that it was fine and that a bullseye mark from a tick would be much larger. It was gone after a couple days.

Looks like an allergic reaction to it. My husband gets welts like this when he is bitten and can’t even be out in the field with me to pick berries at night because of them.

Major reactions to most bug bites but especially mosquitoes. He got one on his forehead two weeks ago and Had a golf ball sized lump in under 5 mins. I’d been away from him for about 3 mins (he was under the my husband’s supervision in the yard, but hubby was installing car seats). I kept trying to get him to admit he’d knocked himself in the head, convinced that just couldn’t be a bite reaction. But there was never bruising, there was itching, eventually a little scab where he scratched off the head of it, and it just finally went away entirely a maybe two days ago. Everyone’s allergic, that’s why we all have a little swelling and redness. But there are differing levels of sensitivity. Sounds like yours is just particularly sensitive to them. If you killed the bug yourself, I would just keep an eye on it, maybe do the circle around it to be extra cautious cause Lyme disease is no joke. At most, make a ped appt to check with them. But I definitely wouldn’t be rushing into h to enER or urgent care or even the doc’s office asap.
Also, it sounds like the bullseye effect may have been a reaction cause by the calamine lotion and it looks great after the nap. I wouldn’t be worried, just aware.

My son had that reaction to a bite before and I’m like 90% positive it was a mosquito. But I took him to urgent care just to be safe and they seemed to think it was definitely a tick bite and put him on an antibiotic. It looked just like this.
