New baby gift to sibling?

Question

My son just turned 2 and we're a week away from welcoming his little brother into the world. Did you get your kids gifts from the baby? Do you think it would be beneficial to get my oldest a gift from his little brother since he's young and probably won't understand it? He understands there's a baby in my belly but obviously I don't think he gets the fact that we will bring him home next week. Any and all input is totally appreciated.

Eeee!!! My daughter was the same age when her sister was born. I made her a book about the day she was born! I filled it with facts about her birthday (date, time, size, etc), and fun things like who all came to visit her, her first bath, and how we came up with her name. I will share some pictures. She’s 7 now and STILL LOVES IT! The company I  used is called Pint Sized Productions. It’s a wonderful quality board book, and has held up extremely well. Now that I’m pregnant with #3, im going to make another for my 2nd daughter who’s about to be a big sister 😍

My son was 21 months old when his brother was born. We didn't really do anything special and didn't get him a gift from the baby or anything. It has been 2 months and he has adjusted very well to his little brother and hasn't shown any jealousy yet.

I would think it better to ask big brother to pick out something he would like to give to baby.

Mine was 18 months when #2 was born. We didn’t do a gift from baby, but we did do a new toy for when he came to meet the baby

we gave big sister a gift the day our LO is home and said the gift was from the baby. it went well. she was so happy and excited the day we brought him home.
