When does doc check Cervix

Curious and would like to know, this is my first pregnancy and I am 30weeks and 5 days pregnant, I think I heard they start checking by 36 weeks but I would like to know what you guys know or have experienced please 😀

Usually 36 weeks unless you have signs of labor before. I got checked yesterday and I’m 32 weeks but I was having contractions for 2 hours Sunday night.

My midwife won’t start until 38 weeks and that’s only if I want to at that point. If you’re not having contractions or reason for concern there’s no reason to. And it’s not even an accurate representation of when you’ll go into labor. I was 3 cm dilated and nearly 100% effaced for a month before I had my first

Mine checked at 41 weeks. I think that was more to see if they would be able to do a membrane sweep. The practice I go to only checks if there’s reason to as they said it doesn’t really matter to much. You can stay at 2 for months or go from nothing to 10 in an hour.

Mine was always around 38 weeks. I think it also depends on how you are feeling and how baby is positioned. If doctor feels you might be nearing that time they will check sooner.
