Is it bad to take 2 showers a day?

I always shower twice daily, once in the morning and once at night. I went to see my doctor because I broke out in hives that wouldn’t go away. He told me to stop showering so often that it was bad for me. Now I’m wondering how often everyone else showers? Lol

Showering too often is really bad for your skin. I’ll do everyday, sometimes I skip a day if I’m not going anywhere tho.

I usually shower once a day. But sometimes I’m a bit crazy and feel the need to shower many times lol sometimes up to 3 times. What I do is i don’t use soap lol I’ll use it only at night before going to bed but during the day I just rinse off... it’s a bit less abrasive aguess 🤪🤷🏼‍♀️

I shower every other day but only shampoo every 4 days. My skin and hair have never been better, I used to get a rash with dry flaky skin and frizzy hair when I showered everyday.

I don't agree with your Dr. Hives can be caused by lots of reasons, yes from hot showers but other things set off hives. Might be worth having a cooler shower and see if that makes a difference but otherwise get a 2nd opinion. Perhaps from a dermatologist.

You are supposed to wash your hair once every 2-3 days (or so I was told, I know it sounds gross lol) but my Dr told me showering every day can strip your hair of the oils it needs to keep it healthy. I'm not sure about your body.

I do face and hair at night and just rinse my body then soap my body and rinse my face in the morning. I know excessively showering isn’t great but I hate washing my hair in the morning yet still feel gross after sleeping so no a quick rinse to wake up haha.
