Is it weird that I’m dreading this and not excited?

So many of you women seem excited to do IVF. I’m full of anxiety and so scared. Is this normal? Did anyone walk into this dreading it and turn out okay?

Not weird at all...its an exhausting, draining process, it takes over your life and your body and you're not even sure it'll work. Don't feel bad

It is not weird at all. I was not excited. More anxious than anything else. And I was very pessimistic about it working given the odds. I was preparing myself for the worst. But I got a BFP after my first FET. Not out of the woods yet since it’s so early. But I think what you are feeling is completely normal.

Not weird. I was very anxious, scared and hella emotional! It’s only after retrieving the egg that I started feeling better, I guess because I’d gotten used to it and my body started feeling better, back to its usual state.

Nope, not weird. I wasn’t excited in the least. I also felt like during the process I had major setbacks; like my follicles weren’t growing as fast as I wanted, my estrogen wasn’t rising fast, and then they found a cyst on one ovary. None of those things ended up being a big deal but while it was happening I was constantly anxious about them canceling my cycle (mostly because of over-googling on my end, they never even mentioned cancelling). 
Honestly, just go day by day and try not to worry about how it’s going, let your doctors guide you and listen to their advice. Once it’s over, you’ll feel 100x better and you’re that much closer to getting your baby.

Im so glad u posted this! Im soooo nervous. Im on day 3 of shots and my anxiety is still high

Ugh. I am with you. After 4 failed IUI’s I feel like all my faith has dwindled. For the cost financially and emotionally, not to mention the effect on my body, I am completely dreading IVF. We are taking a break for the holidays and then begin end of January.

I'm going through the same thing. Kept debating whether I should do it or not. Now on day 5 of shots and hoping everything goes ok.

Thought I’d be alright but feeling emo from the BC pill and super anxious right before stim. I’d like to think it’s normal to feel anxious and dread before change and the unknown.
