Driving After Your Water Breaks?

This might be a silly FTM question, but I'm 37w +2 and working up until labor. Somebody asked me how I was going to get to the hospital if my water broke in the office and I just assumed I'd drive myself. Is that realistic or should I plan some sort of transportation?

This is your first time with all of this so you are best to plan as you don’t know how you or your body is going to react to any of it.

If I drove after my waters just broke I’d have crashed. I had no contractions (that I could feel) before my waters broke and then after they hit rock bottom!

My contractions started instantly after my water broke, I planned to drive myself it hubby was at work and I thank god he was home because there was no way I was capable of driving safely!

My water broke with my 1st and I had immediate INTENSE contractions. There’s no way I would’ve been able to drive myself. I thought I was going to deliver in the car!. Have a back up plan for sure 
Some people are different and don’t have any obvious contractions afterwards until much later. It’s very unpredictable

My mom when she had my youngest brother (child number 7 for her) she drive her self to the hospital and pumped her gas in her car after her water broke.

I drove myself to the hospital, my contractions hadn't started. I didn't feel a thing and just walked into the ER. My husband had to meet me at the ER. If I couldn't I would have called 911, or a friend I had to take me.

Plan transportation, SOMETIMES not always labor will start immediately after the waters break.

Theres no way of knowing. Some people water break and contractions hit hard others it takes hours. Id have a back up plan just in case.
