Work= exercise?

I work a full time job and am on my feet all day. Does that count as exercise?

Nope. I'm a PE teacher and coach and still don't consider that active job to be exercise. My doctor even says she doesn't exercise and she's on her feet all day. Try to raise the bar by working out for short time frame with altering days of high or medium intensity. Good luck!

If you're walking around I would consider that light exercise. I work a cleaning job at a factory and I'm always up and down, walking all over the place. Lifting really heavy garbage s. Vacuuming. Lots of moving around. Enough to sweat if it's hot enough. But I still on consider it light exercise. Including my bike ride to and from work. It's better than nothing for sure but if you're looking to count exercise as exercise you're better off just adding an exercise routine into your schedule. Do some working out on the weekends. Go for a hike or go to the beach and swim. Do yoga in the morning before you go to work. Or some simple stretches during your lunch break. It's really easy to work out IF you have the motivation to do so. If you find yourself making excuses as to why you can't then you don't really want to work out. I'm not pointing this as you directly, but to people in general so please don't get offended 😊🙏🏻

I'm a nurse and my phone tracks my steps some days I walk up to 10 miles

I'm a waitress and I definitely consider it exercise. It's a lot of fast walking and when I'm done I have to help move tables and vacuum an entire restaurant, but we don't have actual vacuums, only these push things (not sure what they're called) that aren't electronic and take a lot more effort.
