Clubbed Feet - Any experienced moms??

Question

My baby was diagnosed with clubbed feet at my 23rd week ultrasound. Any mothes out there know what I should expect?? I'm really nervous?!

I was born with bilateral clubbed feet.. It was a severe case.. The inner side of each foot laid flat against the calf.. I was over 6 months before they did first surgery because they had to find a shoe to fit me first.. Second surgery I was over a year old.. I wore casts for a few years and braces.. I'm 30 now and being fitted for another set of braces.. First set since I was 4.. I lived a fairly normal life.. I do have pain, swelling, and stiffness in both ankles if I'm on them more than an hour..

I am a pediatric physical therapist and from what I have read many infants are treated for club foot right away and it typically doesn't have many long term effects on their function as they get older. Good luck!

I was born with club feet in 1988. Mine were bilateral, meaning both were affected. I had braces until I was around 18mo. At 11mo we went to Shriner's Children's Hospital. I had my first surgery around 18mo. Then between 3-4 I had a second surgery to further correct them. The only issues I have are: flat feet. That's it. My feet are oddly wide so, sometimes finding shoes isn't the easiest (that are comfortable, anyway). I can walk, run, etc. I just find that being on them for extended periods make them hurt because of lack of support. But I'm a perfectly normal 27yo woman. 
I can remember re-learning to walk in my walking casts after my second surgery and how excited I was! I remember scooting around on my butt to get around the upstairs and wheeling around in my wheel chair to get around downstairs. It wasn't that bad, just lengthy. And that was almost 30 years ago!
