How long did you wait after a C-section to have another baby?!

My doctor gave us the go ahead to start trying for our second baby after 12 months (still have 9 months of waiting to go)
Just wanted to see how long everyone waited after a C-section to get pregnant again? And did anyone have any issues with their next pregnancy if you got pregnant close together? 
We plan on trying after my son’s first birthday (summer 2019). I’m a little anxious bc this csection I had in August was rough and my incision is taking FOREVER to heal! But my husband wants another baby ASAP and I feel sort of guilty that I’m unable to make a baby for him sooner bc I’m needing extra time to recover from csection 😢 I know I shouldn’t feel that way, but I do.

Wait at least a year. I got pregnant again at 11 months. My 3rd baby was my first c section, so I had multiple pregnancies to compare. The growing hurt more than my previous 3 pregnancies. I felt an uncomfortable pulling pretty quickly after I got pregnant. And my dr said if anything, it should be easier for me because it was my 4th baby and my uterus was already pretty elastic. So I can't imagine getting pregnant again sooner than that after having had a c section. It's really worth it to wait in my opinion, and my kids are still close in age.

You can most likely wait a year or so to get pregnant again, I waited almost 4 yrs to get pregnant again and due in February with baby #2 just because I'm attempting a VBAC.

Don't worry even if you had a vaginal delivery it's still recommended to wait at least a year. Your body needs to heal and even though some women can have babies close together without a problem there's still risks of having them too close.

I started trying at 8 months postpartum after my c-section. Was pregnant by 11 months postpartum. #2 and 3 were VBACs. I had no issues.

My doctor told me 18 months minimum but 2 years is ideal. So we started trying at 18 months but it took us a year to conceive. 25 weeks pregnant and so far ever is going good. Haven’t had my vbac yet, 😏, but can’t wait to!

Mine are 16 months apart and they were both c sections. My dr gave us the green light. She even gave me clomid again to get the second one.

A minimum of a year but 18 months is better. If you don't wait, you're at risk for having a high risk pregnancy and uterine rupture. You also won't be eligible for a VBAC.
