Will the US show anything???

Question

I am 5 weeks 6 days from last period but should only be 3 weeks 6 days gestational. Will the ultrasound show anything? I would be happy just seeing the sac if it’s too early to see the baby. I am freaking out. I don’t want to waste my family’s time (dad and step mom and grandmother are going) and I don’t want to get my hopes up if I just won’t be able to see anything. Please help me. I wish she wouldn’t have made my first appointment this early.

My ultrasound at 5 weeks 5 days showed fetal pole and yolk sac so you MIGHT see something but I think it’s important to remember that PLENTY of people who are at the same week don’t see anything and that is totally normal too.  Everyone is different. So I think it is possible but don’t freak out if you can’t see everything yet  :-)

Is your dr allowing you to have an ultrasound this early? You won’t be able to hear a heartbeat or really be able to tell it’s a baby but the sac should be there to see
