Brown discharge on this pill

So I’ve been on the pill since March and have always taken it on time and had my periods between each packet. But this month I skipped my period and started a new packet straight after my last packet and today I have brown discharge. Is this normal? Is it a breakthrough bleed of some kind? I don’t want to be pregnant
