Best BC for stopping periods/cramps?

I take minastrine and my doc told me it was safe to skip the placebo pills and just continue into a new pack so I wouldn't have a period at all as long as every 4-6 months I let it happen! I had random cramps every now and then but nothing awful and sometimes even skipping the last row caused spotting but overall it helped a lot.
