It feels like that doesn't it? But I think it's just the excitement of having two, that makes people post "I'm having twins!!" Proportionally it isn't that many, it's just that singleton pregnancy announcements won't proclaim "I'm having one baby!"
It's a bit like with MC or MMC. There's a lot of posts about it as people reach out and share their experiences (which is very important of course). But it does feel like proportionally the number of MC is higher than it really is, based on posts on forums and apps.
