This is my Gus. He is 10 years old and we adopted him when he was 8. He is the biggest cuddle bug at bedtime and likes to “help” with things like laundry and changing sheets.

A few months ago I was home alone and in the shower. I looked up and there was a spider in there with me. I hate spiders and this one was extra creepy looking so a few shrieks and a chain of profanity came out of my mouth 😂.

Gus came running from the other end of the house and despite his fear of gettting wet by shower water, fought the shower curtain so he could see me and make sure I was okay. Ever since then he now sits by the bathroom door every night when I take a shower and doesn’t leave until he knows I’m not getting back in for any reason.

I also have a routine with my other cat who is 17. I have had her since she was born and I always tuck her in on the couch every night before bed. It was really late the other night and I hadn’t done that yet. I guess Gus felt it was after bedtime because he continuously circled my legs until I said “okay lets go check on sissy” he went flying to the living room and only left when he saw I was done tucking Starlett in for the night.

Cats are so smart guys and these two have such personalities. ❤️
