Hey y’all. I’m the OP here. I’ll have been away from my kitties for a year in February. They’re staying with my mom st her house in FL while my husband and I lived in Korea for a year. I’ll be coming home early from this tour in March and staying with my mom until my husband finishes his tour here. 
I love my cats so damn much and miss them dearly. I just worry how they treat me when I finally see them again.

After my divorce we split up the cats. He took 3 and I took 3. After 6 months since he still didn’t have a job he called me to come get them or he would take them to the shelter (😠). The cats remembered me just fine but they took a while to remember each other.

Two weeks! My cat is an inside/outside cat and typically when my bf comes to pick me up at my house, my cat will go outside to explore. My cat usually knows when my bf pulls up to my house, so then my cat knows I’m home and he’s ready to go back inside. My bf and I took a road trip across the country to Arizona, and my cat did not come back until I returned home!! Here he is once I returned!! (His name is Kit and he is a sassy cat 😂)

Like 6 months. Yes my kitties remembered me. They remembered my voice. When I go visit my mom just by talking they’ll run to me. And they hate humans but they love their momma aka me

We got a kitten last year and shortly after I went away for 5 months for work while hubby raised him. He didn’t remember me as he was so little but it didn’t take long for us to bond when I got home. He was so big and chubby when I saw him again 😭❤️

I'd be gone for a month or two at a time because of school. I'd be shunned the day/evening I came back and sometimes the day after, but I always got loved on at some point before I went back.

A few years ago I left my ex partner due to domestic violence I took my cats but couldn't keep them as was in temporary accommodation that wouldn't allow animals. They went to stay with my sister for 3months until I could find a suitable house for me and my 2 children. As soon as I got the keys to my place I went and got my fur babies. They were a bit skeptial at first but with in a few days it was like they had never been away!
