Home birth experiences??

Question

Can I hear your home birth experiences without a birthing pool? What did you use for pain? How did it compare to hospital? Was it better or worse for you? Do you regret not having a pool?

ive only had one birth so idk how it compares to hispital birth because mine was at home and no medications, but you just naturally pull to something inside of you that gets you through... its deffinately very intense but I really wanted to be home because im a very private and shy persin and i wanted the comfort and solidarity of home environment. I actually thought i’d be birthing in my bathtub because the idea sounded like a good pain releif, however i spent maybe 5 mins in there lol it was too uncomfortable (granted my tub was tiny).
i will mention since i’d never gave birth before i rly assumed alot about how it would be, and honestly during natural unmedicated birth its pretty irrelevant where you are or who all is there or sees u lol because the pain is so much and youre just in your own zone theres hardly a world around you, be it a hospital room ir ur bedroom... sadly another main reason i wanted home birth is because i thought itd be wonderful to birth the baby and beable to lay in my own bed right after because id already be home, but unfortunately they (the midwives) sent my baby imeadiately to the hospital after birth against my will and denyed me alot of the special moments i wanted and couldve had if they didnt do that. they didnt give me my delayed cord clamping and i didnt get to feed him, i only saw him for a second before they ripped him from me and he was gone. i had to get up and get dressed and go to the hospital immeaduately after birthing my baby. that was hands down deffinately the worst part about it. being home was great... im almost thinking to just do the birth completely unassisted at home next time to take away the risk of having my baby kipnapped and subjected to hospital procedures against my will. not fun... so honestly i prefer homebirth if it means it will actually get to be a homebirth. but if youre ending up at a hospital anyway, id prefer just having a planned hospital epudural birth like the majority from the start. it was infuriating to me to put all my inner strength and effort into giving birth at home without medical assiance only to be shipped to a hospital directly after and subjected to everything under the sun. I’d deffinately check your midwives procedures and where they stand on doing things against ur will...
