When I was 16 years old I started taking birth control pills because my period was so irregular. Now I am 31 and six months ago my husband and I have decided to try to get pregnant. I stopped taking birth control and we got down to business. My period has been relatively normal up until the last two months when it started being irregular again. According to my app my period is 12 days late and at home pregnancy tests show up as negative. I don’t know if I should make a doctors appointment or just wait it out. What gives? Is my body still trying to regulate itself after having been on birth control for so long? Or am I pregnant and at home tests just aren’t showing real results?
