Daycare policy
My son's daycare has this policy. I want to know if this is there anywhere else.
He had a fever of 100.5 at 4:30 PM and 101.5 at 5:30 PM on Thursday. When I went at 5:35 to pick him up, the lady there told me that I need to keep him home on Friday. I was ok with that and brought his stuff home. We reached home and I took his temperature with two different thermometers 6 times and they all consistently showed 98.4. If he really had 101.5, I could have felt it when I touched him. He wasn't even warm. And he ate, played and was perfectly normal. I kept taking his temperature every 30 mins until he went to bed and kept monitoring every two hours all night. He was absolutely fine. In the morning too. I didn't see a need to keep him home so I sent him to the daycare on Friday morning. When my husband dropped him off, he told the teacher that he was doing fine and if ran fever again, they could call me and I'd pick him up. The teacher was fine with it. Few minutes later, the front desk lady called my husband that their policy wouldn't allow him being there and we had to pick him up. I went and that's when the teacher told me that if the doctor confirmed if it's not contagious, then he could stay. Makes sense but does anyone know of such policy? He was fine all day Friday, I didnt see any problem. They said they used multiple thermometers too. I don't know what all that 100.5 and 101.5 was.
