Pumping? Breastfeeding? Formula? I’m just curious who out there is only pumping (because baby won’t nurse or other reasons), how many people mostly nurse, and how many are all formula feeding?

I did a mixture of 3 until son was exactly 1 month. It was so difficult for me to do all three and was putting a damper on my happiness plus I wasn’t confident that my son was getting enough of anything so I stopped to exclusively formula feed and now I see him growing and I am much happier. Everyone is different tho.

After about 4 weeks I made the choice solely pump. Our daughter was 6 lb 10 Oz at birth and we had a hard time latching since day 1 and after 4 weeks of fighting her I had had enough. It is still time consuming and hard but I think it was the best decision for both of us. She gets what she needs from me and I get to keep my sanity.

I’m exclusively pumping for my LO.   My nipples are short, and she gets so frustrated with the shield.   It wasn’t worth the battle after she got back to her birth weight.

A stared with breastfeeding but my daughter cracked my right nipple so bad that i had to take a break and started pumping but noticed tha i wasn't pumping enough so I started giving her some formula so now I'm doing all 3.

Started with formula in the hospital (baby had hypoglycemia), then pumped and bottle fed.  Now, 2 weeks pp, we are mostly pumping, but breastfeed 1-2 times a day as well.
