NuvaRing

Hi ladies I just started the NuvaRing yesterday which was (I think) the first day of my period. I had very light bleeding and I read the instructions that said you can insert it the first day of your period. I had very light bleeding the whole day , it was really dark brown. Not even bleeding more like spotting which has never happened before. Today I’m not bleeding or spotting anymore. Does the NuvaRing stop your period that fast or do y’all think maybe something else is going on ?

Prior to the ring my husband and I have been having unprotected sex since August but I was on the Depo up until that point and was told it will take 10 months to be able to get pregnant again so I wasn’t really worried. But my “period” was 2 days late when it finally did come . Let me know !
