When to get blood test/appointments?

I just found out today that I am 3 weeks pregnant! I am so happy and over the moon excited. But I was wondering, when do I get a blood test to confirm pregnancy and to check hcg levels? Also, do I set up an appointment now or wait till I’m 8 weeks? I had a chemical pregnancy two months ago so I’m kinda stressing myself out

Everyone is different. My new doctor brung me in at 4w3d & took blood & confirmed pregnancy, I’m going back tomorrow to get more blood taken to make sure my levels are rising but after that he won’t see me again for another couple weeks. I only went in early & had blood checked because I had a previous miscarriage though.

Make your appointment now. They’ll let you know when they’ll see you, or what tests they do. Some docs like mine only accept a certain amount of patients so I have to be quick!

I set mine up at 4 weeks pregnant and they said they didn’t need to see me until 8-12 weeks. There’s not much to see or check unless you’re high risk or have had issues before. My sister is a labor and delivery nurse and she said there’s really no point to go in earlier! Hope this helps!
