Must haves to bring to hospital?

I curated my bag to a T when I gave birth to my son. My husband and I used a small rolley suitcase. Loose clothes, small toiletries (the ones in the hospital are really drying and I just wanted to feel human again) slippers and fluffy socks, sports bra, breast milk nipple covers (they’re a cotton circle that is soft and absorbs any leaking) and snacks! The hospitals here provide a lot of what you’re going to need so we just packed things to make us comfortable. We ended up staying for four days and I’m glad we brought these things!

Slippers and a comfy pants you don’t mind ruining a nice nursing bra and nursing pads because even if you don’t plan on BF you boobs are going to leak  maybe a robe

Pinterest has some great lists for this. But I’m going to tell you from personal experience, being a loose nursing bra (like no padding, more sports bra material). Bring lanolin nipple gel. Bring cooling nipple pads. I was so mad at all my girlfriends for not warning me how sensitive your boobs and nipples are when you first begin breast feeding (and it lasts at least a week) I was crying in the hospital it hurt so bad. Once I got those things, life was so much easier! And I would suggest like 3 different clothes/outfits for baby because they instantly pee through everything lol

Comfortable clothes and slippers/socks. Hair tie, robe. I packed a bunch of hard candies and mints to suck on as you can't eat so it helped with being so hungry. Depends undies for sure and chapstick.

You’d be surprised to hear how many people forget their phone chargers! Pack an extra!  Our hospital supplied great food and snacks so I didn’t bother with that.  I did want my own shampoo and soap.
Everything the other gals suggested above too.  I also wanted a hair dryer- sounds weird- but my labor was long and sweaty and after I showered I had to put my long hair up in a wet bun.  I just wanted to dry my hair and feel a little normal 🤷‍♀️. To each his own I guess.

Honestly... chapstick! Gosh my lips got so dry 😭😭 a couple of binkys, swaddle blanket, and what the ladies said above me 😊
