Catholic marrying a Muslim, should I convert???

So I am a Catholic and my boyfriend is Muslim, his family are religious and my family have always been strong Catholics. I was raised as a catholic from birth being baptised and having my holy communion. Now that me and my boyfriend are speaking about kids and marriage his younger sister who is very religious has started speaking to me about the Quran. She is telling me that at the end of the world we are all going to convert to Muslim, if I marry my boyfriend without converting then I will make him to straight to hell. She has told me that I have the option to either convert or just stay friends. My SO has never ever raised the issue with me and has always been fine with my religion. I feel like his sister is pushing me deeper into being a strong Catholic. What would you do???

We are muslim in a 85% muslim population country, and we have muslim men marrying christian women. He doesn't get punished if you don't convert. But I believe you could have issues when kids come and you each want your kids to be raised after your own beliefs. I suggest you straighten out the kids issue with your bf then get married. God sees what's in your heart, as the Quran says. If you do not convert for God but rather for a worldly matter such as bf or marriage, God will know it. Just do what you think is right, and know that there are verses in the Quran saying that Cristians are the closest to Muslims, of all religions. I am a muslim girl. I have studied islam very well. 
in God's eyes 'a human's good thoughts and deeds are the most important'. if your thoughts are good and you mean no harm to your bf, his family, his religion, then no need to convert, until and unless its a condition put forward by the bf himself. 
sisters act over smart around marriage time. ignore her.

It's not his sisters relationship so it's none of her business. So long as you and your boyfriend are comfortable with each other's religious views that's all that matters. Nobody should make you convert for him anymore than making him convert for you.

I have a coworker and friend who is Muslim (parents from Yemen) and his wife is Roman Catholic (Italian decent) and they have been happy married for over 15 years with 3 children. They were high school sweethearts. I'm not sure if his family had any objections in the beginning, but they all get along great. He sends the two oldest to Arabic school but as a family they celebrate Christian and Muslim holidays. He says when they get older they will let them choose but the oldest is a teenager already. I've talked to him about it in depth because I have lived in the Middle East and am in a master's program in middle eastern studies and I was very curious. He is fairly devout (says his daily prayers, etc), but it doesn't bother him in the least that his wife is Christian and has never tried to convert her or pressure his kids. I think if your boyfriend doesn't mind, that's all that matters. Let him deal with his family.

A Muslim man can marry a Christian or a Jewish woman :) it's in the Quran. My so is Muslim and did not ask me to convert

If you are a strong catholic and want to stay catholic well then that's what you do. Don't ever let someone try and change something as important as religion..would he turn catholic for you? I highly doubt that so you follow your heart and make a decision that is best for you and no one else

My husband is an athiest and I'm a devout Christian but I respect him and his beliefs and I love him and that's all the matters he supports me and comes to church every weekend with me! I don't think you should have to convert just to marry! It should be about love not religion!

You should never feel obligated to do anything you aren't willing or wanting to do! The fact that he hasn't said anything about you converting or about your religion is great it means he cares about your beliefs and isn't forcing anything onto you. Tell his sister in a polite way to stay out of your relationship and that you will make decisions with your man by yourselves and that she has no say. Also when you have kids teach them about both religions but don't force any on them and when they're older they can choose which one or maybe none when they're older. :) if your both okay with being together with different beliefs then don't worry about it be happy :)
