I’m so confused!?

On Wednesday I hung out with this guy for the first time... we talked and had a lot of fun I feel like we both really got to know each other.. we also hooked up. After we hooked up he told me how much fun that was, I also thought it was really fun and some of the best sex I’ve ever had. After that night he doesn’t really talk to me anymore, he never hits me up he always leaves me on read. I would really like to hang out with him again or even just hook up but I’m always the one to start a conversation then it ends shortly cuz he doesn’t keep it going. Should I just stop messaging him and see if he hits me up and if not just forget about him?
