Anyone know?

Question

I've been bleeding on and off for 5 days, had one sharp pain on the first day, I use one pad a day and it's no where filled up. It's usually brown and some times red. I do not have any clots coming out either. Hcg level was 3400 range on day 3, going tomorrow for another reading. Nothing was seen on ultrasound I am 5w 6d today.

I have had on and off spotting since I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks, I  am now at 6 weeks. It had been mostly pink or brown this whole time and very light but last night became more red like blood so I went to the ER. In the end the doctor said it could be normal since 25% of women with healthy pregnancies have bleeding but he also said he can't assure me that it will be ok at this point. I did have an ultrasound and there was a heartbeat but he has me on pelvic rest so no sex or exercise, and he also said to relax and sleep as much as possible. I have to get my hcg tested again tomorrow so they can compare it to last night's level. The waiting for hcg results is terrible and this will be the 5th time I've done it since pregnant! With hcg, it sounds like it's more about the rate of increase rather than the actual number itself, since the normal range for each week is so large. Just an update, had a tubal pregnancy! :( my second one. Caused me to lose my tube! And found out I have endometriosis, don't know what it is? You should learn it :(
