Like having doubts is normal and keeping options open is fine, but if you’re in it more than he is then what’s the point?

Never. Years ago my boy husband had feelings for his ex and was dating another girl. Guess what? He didn’t pick the other girl in the end. He was with her for a whileC but ultimately he went back to his ex. We’ve been together ever since (nearly 15 years) and have a family together. Feelings for an ex are dangerous. Be with someone that doesn’t question his feelings for you. 
And just so I don’t get the comments about how I didn’t pick a man that didn’t love me enough, my husband and I had broken up because he didn’t think he could manage long distance when I moved for my professional degree. He always loved me and actually hoped that one day we’d get back together when we could live in the same city.
