When do they start checking your cervix?

I'll be 37 weeks and 6 days tomorrow at my appointment, I'll be 38 weeks on Thanksgiving, when would they start checking my cervix? Because they never tell me anything and I'm always seeing a different doctor so ive been wondering when do they usual check the cervix for dilation

Not all doctors check, it doesn't indicate when you'll have the baby for sure so alot dont do it unless they see a reason to. My doctor does and has been since 34 weeks and I'm now 37 weeks

Mine started today at 36 weeks

I’m 39 weeks today and at my appointment on Friday my OB said she would check my cervix only if I wanted her to at my upcoming appointment on Thursday. I’ll be 39+2.
