Birth Control Pills Sickness

I started taking birth control pills about a month and a half ago, and I would get extremely nauseous to the point where I can't take them anymore. I was on them a few years ago before I went on the shot, and it never affected me this badly. I just stopped them cold turkey about two weeks ago because I can't be that sick all the time. Anyone have this problem before or know a solution? Debated going on the patch.
