Am I crazy... Or is it insane to give a four year old coffee!!!???

My friend posted a picture on Instagram of her black coffee and a black coffee in a small cup for her four year old. She said she usually just gives her daughter a few sips of her coffee but since her daughter is sick (with walking pneumonia!!!) she's giving her a small cup of her own coffee!!!! This seems totally horrific to me!! I think it's kinda weird when high schoolers drink coffee... Is this ever ok???
