When to start buying diapers?

When should we start buying diapers for our twins and how many boxes of each size?

I would start stocking up especially on the newborn size since twins tend to be smaller at birth

I started when we decided to conceive. I wasn't expecting to have twins so I'm glad we have a pretty good stash!!

We started after the start of the second trimester. But I don't think there is a 'too early' to buy. We have 3-4 big boxes of 200+ Sizes 1 and 2. Keeping receipts taped to the boxes. But we are planning to use mostly cloth diapers and only use disposable when we go out or if someone is babysitting for us.

As soon as my husband and I found out that we were expecting we started buying a Costco size box of diapers every month. I suggest size 2 & 3 and I'm soooo glad we did! We did end up recieving a lot of diapers as gifts but most ended up being size newborn and size 1. Once the baby was born we didn't end up needing to buy diapers again til after he was 1! Needless to say we are doing to same thing this time around :)

We've been buying diapers and wipes every time we go to the store since we found out. Mainly newborns and size 1. I know walmart & target will let you exchange unopened ones for any size at any time

We bought a box of pampers sensitive in newborns and 1. Then stocked the nursery. We are only having 1 so with twins you may want 2 boxes of newborns and 1 box of 1 on hand. I've learned some babies do better with different diapers and brands so you may not want to stock up on one brand incase you find out you hate it (blow outs), It doesn't fit your child quite right or your child has sensitive skin, etc.
