Fighting bottles
Mamas, I need ideas. My daughter will be 6 months old on the 27th. She's formula fed. And I've waited until now to start solids (plan to introduce them tomorrow). She's also has silent reflux, but is on medicine for it. Here's the issue: she has fought her bottles for two months now. I am at my wits end. I've tried warmer, cooler, more, less, closer together and farther apart, faster flow, slower flow, and switching to a sensitive formula due to gas issues with her last formula. The one thing that's helped is keeping it at 4oz. Every 2-2.5 hours, which I'm fine with feeding her that often if she'd.just.stop.fighting.it. I don't know what to do. The only way I can get her to eat when she resists (which is most of the time I get MAYBE one bottle a day she doesn't fight) is to lull her mostly to sleep then pull her pacifier out and pop the bottle in. I know she is eating enough because I've been trying to be diligent with it. She's 18 pounds so, I've clearly succeeded, but it's just so stressful. I've heard of bottle strikes but this doesn't seem like that. She almost seems like she's uncomfortable? I do suspect a dairy sensitivity, which is why we switched to sensitive formula.
