Will breastfeeding help me lose weight?

I nursed my son and was back into my prepregnancy clothes within a week. Not sure if it helped me lose weight, but it helped my uterus shrink back down quicker than if I had formula fed.

It helped me a lot but my friend it didn't. It's not for sure.

Breastfeeding made me really really hungry, so I ended up gaining weight back that I had lost during the pregnancy with both of my daughters.

It depends on your body. I lost weight quickly until the last 5-7 pounds; those I could NOT get rid of until I stopped breastfeeding. My doctor said that's pretty common - your body holds onto the last few pounds to help "keep the milk factory in business".

I breastfed and the weight did not come off quickly or easily. Just depends on your body type!

It takes time and if you don't pair it with healthy eating and moderate activity then it likely won't. It's a big help (I found) but not a miracle fix.
