Transfer
So we had some bad news and some good news. My first egg retieval retrieved 14 eggs, 10 fertilized, and only 1 embryo made it through the PGS testing. Instead of transferring it back, my doctor suggested doing a 2nd retrieval so we would have other embryos to freeze for other attempts or siblings. I had my 2nd retrieval last week. We got 17 eggs, 6 fertilized, but none of them made it through the process. So instead of using a fresh embryo, we were forced to transfer our only frozen embryo.
I am completely crushed that I did the second cycle and it was basically for nothing. I am also freaking out about the fact that we are using our only hope, and there is no plan B. If this doesn't work, we will have to take quite an amount of time off due to: physical limitations, needing a mental break, and financial reasons. Trying to stay positive, but I am a total wreck inside.
