Baby is here and born in the car on the side of the road!!!
My little one made her debut last night after being sent home and being told I wasn’t in labor!
We came to the hospital about 730pm yesterday. Contractions were irregular and only dilated to a 4. So we walked for an hour. Got check again. No change to my cervix and still very irregular contractions. We came in because we live 45 mins away and it was snowing! Only to get sent home... we got home around 1015 laid down barely fell asleep and my water breaks! I wake my husband and we are in the car in no less than 5 mins later. It was 1130 when it broke. By 1140 I’m telling him to drive faster and to call 911 we aren’t gunna make it! 911 tells him where to stop and wait for the ambulance while I’m trying not to push but my body took over and there was no stopping her arrival. I can feel her head so I take off my pants, lean my seat back as far as it’ll go, he finally stops runs around to my side screams to 911 I can see her head, push and she shoots out of me! He barely caught her! She didn’t cry and 911 is yelling she’s not crying make her cry rub her back and her feet turn her upside down now do chest compressions! Way scared at this point plus it’s only 14 degrees out so I know we need to get her wrapped up! First cop shows up and takes over for my husband then another and then finally the ambulance. They get her crying and breathing, load us both in the ambulance and off we go the rest of the 15 miles to the hospital!
She is having some issues with her blood sugar but hopefully stabilizing now.
