PUPPS RASH DURING PREGNANCY

PUPPS (pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy). During my first pregnancy, I was unfortunate enough to get this rash.  It doesn't harm you or the child; however, itches like crazy.  You can get it on your stomach, arms, and leg area.  I wanted  to bring awareness of this rash, because often times most don't know what it is, they may think it's an allergic reaction etc.  I was fortunate to have a friend tell me about it a couple weeks before I got it with my son.  Many say it's a by product of fetal cells invading the mothers skin.  Either way,it's normally not experienced till the 3rd trimester and can last till childbirth!
