How much money would you need saved up to move into an apartment?

So my SO and I are planning on moving into a studio apartment (something small) only because California is way too freakin expensive.

Anyways... if we were to pay $900-1100 a month on a studio, how much would we need to live comfortably?

We’re planning on doing the minimum, we’re not cable watchers, we usually rent DVDs and get entertainment through there. We don’t have WIFI at our old place now because we really don’t need it lol.

But the only bills we have are car insurance, health insurance, phone bill, & my student loans :)

Planning on moving out sometime in the middle of 2019.

We have $6000 saved up, how much more would we need?
