How old is too old to have kids?

I am really up in the air . I really love my partner. I just don't know if I'm wrong for feeling like 50 might be too..old to try. I'm 33. He has a 5 year old ...in..great shape..healthy. ..etc. I never asked him to do a sperm...analysis. .because obgyn..said wait a year. .it's only been 2 mos.  HOW OLD IS TOO OLD? I would never leave but I considered ..A donor if he can't after a year. .

If I am reading your post correctly he is 50 and you are 33... I don't think it matters. As long as you are in love, stable people, nurturing and both want this why not? You are still young. Go for it!

If you're talking fertility, guys are pretty much never too old. If you're talking about his age being too old to want to be chasing kids around and whatnot, then you would have to ask him, because that's a personal matter.

I don't think he's that old I know some guys in my family older and they had kids they are healthy so don't give up keep trying

My husband is 20 years older than me. I wanted to wait a bit before having kids and we started when I was 27, so he was 47. I'm now 36 and I really want one more. I sometimes worry about my age only because I realize that 40 is not that far away. But so far our kids have all been super healthy overall and no major issues.  So I say if you are both on board, do what makes you happy.

The man's age doesn't matter as much as the woman's in terms of it being a healthy pregnancy so I'd say no, 50 is not too old. My dad was 45 when he and my mom conceived me.

My mother in law is 38 and her youngest turned 1 less than a month ago. When I worked at OBGYN office... I've seen them as old as 56.
