So I went into my obgyn today, did the normal stuff, took vidal's, weight, and urine sample. Then asked me if I want to test for downs syndrome and abnormalitys next appointment, I'm 14 weeks now and I'd be 17 weeks when my next appointment is. I was under the impression that they test for this at 9 weeks. Alot of other pregnant moms I know have gotton this at 9 weeks and then also got told gender when the results came back a week or so after the test. I believe it's a blood test. I'm just confused why I'm getting it so late? I wasn't even sure they were going to ask me about testing for it because some doctors don't, or we

have to pay for it. Has anyone els gotton it done this late? And was it the blood test I'm thinking about? They didnt give a name for the test just said testing for downs syndrome. (Help)
