Real reason to be mad?!?

So my SO lives an hour away due to me being in school. Well, he’s been down at his mom’s for about two weeks so he hasn’t been to work. He also has a kidney stone he’s trying to pass so he’s been out due to pain/doctor visits. Today, he was leaving to go back & made the comment that he hopes he wakes up in time for work. He works an hour away from where he lives. His mom said well I’ll call you & make sure you’re awake (5:30am-6am). I said well, I will not be calling you - joking around but not really. I don’t have to be up for school until 7am. He made the comment about yeah we know you wouldn’t do something to help someone out. I backfired & said yeah bc I haven’t woken you up plenty of times before because you overslept BUT you’re a grown man (30), there shouldn’t be anyone having to wake you up. He got mad but I feel like it’s the truth 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m 24 & I raise two kids that live with me (they’re ours) & still get up in time for school. No, I don’t have to wake up as early but I still make it happen.
