It really amazed me last night how smart and understanding my 14-month-old is.

Last night, he was getting on my last nerve. Getting into things he was not supposed to and climbing everywhere and just all-around behaving badly. So instead of getting really upset, I got down on his level and talked to him sternly telling him he needed to stop misbehaving and that he was making mommy very upset. I explained to him that the things that he was doing were not OK and that he needed to go sit down and watch his movie. You know what he did after that?

He gave me a big hug. After that nice, long hug he went and sat down in the living room with his blanket and pacifier and watchedhis movie.

I was like, “did this boy actually understand everything I just said?” I was so proud ❤️❤️❤️
