i’m a new mom and freaking out a little (a lot). my 4 week old son seems to have a bad cold. he’s sneezing quite a bit, has dry boogies (i have the humidifier going), and he’s congested. but i just noticed that when he cries, it sounds like a little thud in his chest when he breathes in sharp. i’m really worried. he has an appointment with the pediatrician tomorrow at 3, is there anything i can do in the meantime? is the thud sound normal since he’s congested or should i take him to the emergency room tonight to get checked?
