Starting metformin

Jessica

After having 2 miscarriages this year (one in January and another last month in October), I got in to see an OBGYN. I was diagnosed with PCOS in my early teens, complete with heavily irregular cycles, acne, hirsutism, etc. My doctor said I ovulated the day I went in for the initial "Cadillac exam" (their words not mine lol) as well as bloodwork. Scheduled a transvaginal ultrasound to make sure he had the whole picture. I was told that structurally speaking, there's nothing wrong with me and that for having PCOS my ovaries looked fairly clear. He put me on metformin to hopefully regulate my cycles and help make it easier to get (and stay) pregnant. I started taking it last night and I feel more hopeful than I have in a while. 2 years of trying and the 2 miscarriages had me understandably feeling rather hopeless. I think I'm on the right track and trying to stay positive. Feel free to share your experiences with metformin, I'd love to hear people's stories.
