I got mom shamed at my sons bus stop yesterday morning.... I don’t have a winter coat that fits at the moment because my ex hasn’t paid child support yet for the month. (It’s due in 3 days it comes off his last cheque of the month). I used my subsidy to get both my kids better winter gear because they needed it more than I needed a winter coat.

A group of moms asked me why I didn’t have a winter coat and I said because I had to buy them snowsuits and boots. They were like well that’s stupid you should use that money for you. I’m like well not everyone is well off like you apparently and my bills don’t pay themselves and as for my ex he pays the mortgage and child support so pretty much whatever I have goes towards the kids and household. I felt so ashamed after and cried nonstop all day!
