Iud birth control?

I'm getting the idu in a couple weeks and I want to know what it was like how painful ect getting it in and side effects the first week. I got diagnosed with pcos and he recommended it to me

Opt for the paragaurd iud it is non hormonal meaning it doesnt contain hormones i loved mine had it for almost 4yrs before deciding to ttc again

Hated it, crazy mood swings, felt like I was pmsing 25/7. Best thing I ever did was get it removed! But I know hormones affect people different.

Personally, I HATED having that thing in there. Never mind the crazy bs the Mirena put me through - I had to ride two busses home after I got it. Absolutely miserable!  The pain was so bad I could hardly walk and they told me, "oh, by the way, the arms will pop up at some point and you might feel them when they do."  
OMFG did I ever feel them. The first one popped while waiting for the first bus and I nearly dropped to my knees. The other one waited until I was home. Thank god. I almost dropped my lunch on the floor. 
Within a couple days, the really bad pain subsided but I could feel the damned thing in there. Drove me nuts. I hated doing yoga with it in so much I actually stopped doing yoga. Felt like it was jabbing me or something when I did certain poses. 
Got that thing yanked out in less than 6 months.

I found out earlier this year, about 7 years later, that I have a connective tissue disorder so I may just be overly sensitive to IUDs in general because of my slightly fragile skin/tissue. I heal slow, bruise easy, seem to get cut up easier than anyone else I know.  So, can't speak for anyone else.

I have heard that if you've had a child before, the IUDs are far less painful and bothersome. I've yet to have any children myself. So there's that too.

Google "Mirena Crash". If anything don't get that, it ruined my life. 😢😢😢 If you really want an IUD go for the one without hormones. Google Paragaurd IUD.

I had Mirena for about 2 years before I had to get it removed. I had serious rage issues and was just a mess in general which is very unlike me. I really like the no fuss birth control so after I got it removed I got paragard and love it. No more crazy side effects and rage is a thing of the past.

I had the Paraguard. Loved it. When they put it in it hurts a little and every once and a while when I moved a certain way I could feel it. Otherwise it was amazing. Trusted it more then any other birth control I've been on.

Absolutely awful! Hated having mine in and now I have had it I have the 'crash' which is also awful! Although for some people it may work

I had my IUD in for 7 yrs. It worked for me. Everyone is different.
