chef or kindergarten teacher?

Question

this isnt pregnancy related but after i have the baby should i go to school to be a chef or a kindergarten teacher?
i love cooking and im pretty good at it so theres that
but
i also love kids and i loved kindergarten and i think i would be a really good teacher

what do you think?

I'm a certified personal trainer and a private chef. I graduated from CIA the top culinary school and let me just tell you be prepared to never be home. Especially if you work in a restaurant. Before I became a private chef I was working in a upscale restaurant and my shortest work day was 12 hrs. I worked 14-16 hrs a day. I had time for nothing. It's a very demanding job/career. And if your good in the kitchen oh you'll be pulling 14-16 hrs a day. Im not trying to discourage you but giving you the true reality of us in the culinary field. That's why I became a certified private chef for more money better hours and better control of my schedule to fit my clients schedule. If you go to culinary school and work in the field be prepared to spend a lot of time at work rather than at home.

I love teaching Kindergarten! Just gearing up to start a new year. I also love that my schedule and hours will allow me to spend a lot of time with our LO. After Baby K is born, and after maternity leave I will only have to go back to work for 5 weeks before summer vacation!

Both are great careers, however depending on where you plan on working chefs do really long hours, often at night. Kindergarten at least has good hours to work around children

I say both! Major as a teacher and minor in culinary arts. Teaching would be a lot easier career wise as far as having a child. Plus you'll have weekends off as well as the summer to spend time with your little one and as far as cooking you can start a blog! There are many people out there that are sharing their passion with the world. Don't settle for one thing. Do it all!!
