Anyone else being induced due to GD?

My dr springs this on me three weeks before he wants to induce. Then gives me limited information and explanation on why this is necessary other than "it's bc of a risk of still born/placental abruption". Jw what everyone else's experience has been?

Update: Went in for an appointment today and I was completely relieved that my dr changed his tune! After the growth ultrasound she was measuring fine and now dr is saying that I can try to go into labor naturally but we will talk about induction if I go past my due date. I will cross that bridge when I get there if I even have to. I feel so relieved that he's not pressuring me to induce early! All my research and questioning the dr paid off! So relieved!

I was induced at 39weeks. They told me it was a possibility depending on his size. I went in the day before my 39 week mark and they told me to go home pack and rest because I was to be induced at 7 am the next morning. It was a long process but he was born at 323am the next morning weighing 8.1oz and healthy as can be

Yes I was induced both times because of GD. It's not so bad. It's just to keep the baby and you safe. One doctor I spoke to is actually saying the new recommendation for GD babies is to be induced at 39 instead of 40.

First emergency cesarean 37weeks, second has been booked in for 38weeks. If you're not comfortable, keep asking questions of your doc. Write a list before your next apppt
