Flying in the first trimester

Hey everyone, I know that flying isn’t recommended for the third trimester, but what about the first trimester?

I’m currently 9 weeks pregnant and have my first prenatal appointment on Friday. My boyfriend’s dad is terminally ill and has gotten worse in the last month. So we need to make it out to Michigan to see him. I’m just concerned about flying since I’m pregnant.

Does it increase the risk of miscarriage?
