Anyone have Mthfr?

I had 2 normal pregnancies then a molar pregnancy followed by a miscarriage. I was then diagnosed with both gene mutations of mthfr.  I believe I've had a chemical pregnancy this month too.  Anyone have success after being diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder? Looking for a little encouragement.

Answer

It all depends on which mutation you have and how you respond to different paths to managing. You can't have folic acid since the mutation will not allow your body to break it down since it is synthetic. Look for methyl folate vitamins and I suggest reading on www.mthfr.net it's what helped me get a grip on this thing. I'm compound heterozygous with 3 miscarriages 1 chemical and a DVT.
