Pregnancy massage?

Has anyone ever gotten a pregnancy massage? My Mom is going through a really messy divorce right now and I want her and I to have a spa day for Christmas. Im only 11 weeks along. Is a pregnancy massage okay?

Absolutely is, just make sure the massage therapist is certified in prenatal massages

You can probably do a regular massage since you’re not far along enough to worry about laying on your back or tummy. Ask the therapist what they recommend.

My nurse practitioner told me a regular massage was fine, even deep tissue. I got two before 13 weeks and didn’t mention the pregnancy to the therapist. It’s only a problem if you can’t lay on your stomach.

Oh at 11 Weeks your going to be fine, people worry that certain pressure points will stimulate labor, but that early I highly doubt anything could happen.

I’m not sure if they will do a pregnancy massage in the first 12 weeks. I had one around week 30 and they or amazing just double check that they will do one for you.
